I'm trying to ignore the political madness going on and just enjoying the small moments of beauty.
How are you doing?

Our World: End-of-2020 Edition
So, 2020 is drawing to a close... Most of us are, no doubt, thinking good riddance!
But I like to think that there have been some moments of brightness, some lessons learned that we can take into the new year with us. I'd hate to think of a whole year just going to waste - don't you?
So, let's take those sweet moments into the new year with us and make them into moments of hope.

Our World: The Christmas Edition
The winter solstice is here - which means that the days will start getting a bit longer and a bit lighter. And a bit more hopeful!
Wishing you all a relaxing and love-filled festive season!

Our World: 7 December 2020
December is here with its muted colours and greys... It feels more like November without any snow.

Our World: Wait - It's December Edition!
Can you believe it's December already?!
November has been pretty mild. Got some snow at the weekend, but still had to pick three ticks off Ruby and one off Simmie! (Crazy!) And we had a beautiful full moon.

Our World: 23 November 2020
I hope you are all doing well in these uncertain times.
Mental health is important and I try to remain optimistic and energetic.
Hugs to you all!

With the world on lockdown, we really have to practice resilience and acceptance. And we have to show kindness and love to each other in these difficult times.

Our World: It's-September-already!
It's September already - my favourite time of year! September is often mild here before the frosts set in and trees explode with colour.
What's your favourite time of year?

Our World: 24 August 2020
We are having some fabulous summer weather! (Typical now that schools and work have started again.) I'm still working remotely from home.

Welcome to another summer (or winter, depending on where you live) edition of Our World!
A lot of Europe and Scandinavia is in the grip of a heatwave. I'll have to hang onto that feeling when autumn comes.

Our World: August-already Edition
It's August already! It's hard to believe but this is my last week of holiday. Feels like only yesterday that the holidays started...
Some of you may remember my sweet dog, Oscar (RIP). Here he is teaching us to remember to take time to smell the flowers.

Our World - nearly-Midsummer-Edition
It's hard to believe that it's nearly midsummer - or midwinter (depending on where you live)! I'm finally getting out into the woods a bit more and am able to enjoy some of the lushness and summer heat! No doubt it will rain at the end of the week as midsummer is usually cold and wet. :-)

Our World: 8 June 2020
Welcome to another episode of Our World!
This is a typically busy time of year - and even though almost everything has been cancelled, two of us will be able to attend our daughter's graduation from senior high school - with strict social distancing in place - at the end of the week.
I gather that one class will graduate at a time and be allowed to come outside where the two family members will stand in little boxes that are two metres apart from everyone else.

Amidst all the crazy politics, there is some good news!
A lot of rain fell in Australia putting out a third of the fires.
Swedish researchers have found a better way to store solar energy and then release it up to a decade after it was stored.
And a new peanut allergy treatment has just been approved in the US.
